About Dr Messer
Dr Messer enjoys living on the Gold Coast with his wife and 4 children and being part of our local community. He began his medical career here in 2006. After completing his post graduate fellowship in oncoplastic breast surgery, he established his private practice on the Gold Coast in 2017.
A Medical Graduate of the University of Queensland, Dr Messer was awarded Fellowship to Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014. He undertook a 2 year post-graduate fellowship in breast surgery at the Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand, and the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute, Sydney, Australia. Dr Messer completed the Graduate Certificate in Breast Surgery at the University of Sydney in 2017 and is now a member of the faculty.
Dr Messer is an oncoplastic breast surgeon who offers specialist surgical management of benign and malignant breast conditions and oncoplastic breast surgery. This includes therapeutic mammaplasty implant based breast reconstruction techniques and management of complications from breast implants. He holds operating privileges at Gold Coast Private Hospital and Pindarra Private Hospital. Dr Messer has a private practice at Premion Place, Southport, along with Dr de Viana. In addition to his private practice, Dr Messer currently holds a position as a Breast and General Surgeon at Redlands Public Hospital.
